Macomb Soldier promoted to Captain

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Jacob Rhodes of Macomb, Illinois was promoted to the rank of captain during a ceremony at Camp Lincoln in Springfield, Illinois Dec. 12.

Rhodes enlisted in the Illinois Army National Guard in 2011. He serves as the plans officer for the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2nd Squadron 106th Cavalry Regiment based in Kewanee, Illinois.

Rhode’s wife Mia pinned the rank of captain on him during the ceremony.
