SPRINGFIELD –Sgt. Shari Vice of Springfield, with the 1144th Transportation Battalion in Delavan, was sworn in as an inspector with the Illinois National Guard’s Inspector General’s Office Jan. 14 at Camp Lincoln in Springfield.

As an inspector, Vice ensures the working and operational environment is fully functional for leaders, Soldiers, Airmen and civilians working for the Illinois National Guard.

A 2006 Girard High School graduate, Vice enlisted into the Illinois Army National Guard in 2005 as a human resources specialist. Vice completed the Inspector General course at Fort Belvoir, Va., December 2012.
