Lake In The Hills Soldier Promoted To Staff Sergeant

MARSEILLES – Jenna Maravillas, a native of Lake in the Hills, with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 108th Sustainment Brigade in Chicago, was promoted to the rank of staff sergeant Jan. 25 at Marseilles Training Center in Marseilles.

Maravillas enlisted into the active Army February 2003 and later joined the Illinois Army National Guard in 2009. She deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom Jan. 2003 to Jan. 2004 and August 2006 to November 2007.
