    Officer Candidate School (OCS)

  ● Minimum GT score of 110
  ● Pass Chapter 2 Commissioning Physical in accordance with AR 40-501. Must meet all medical fitness standards
  ● Must obtain SECRET security clearance utilizing the PSIP system
  ● Must be between 18-34 years old. Must complete FOCS prior to 37th birthday and commission prior to 42nd birthday
  ● Must be U.S. or Nationalized citizen
  ● Pass Army physical fitness test and meet height/weigh requirements in accordance with AR 600-9
  ● 90 semester hours required to attend Phase 1
  ● DD214 or DD220 indicating successful completion of Initial Active Duty Training (IADT)
OCS Courses (Traditional and Accelerated)
Traditional, 16 month course:
● 16 months total
● Phase 0 - Administrative phase 3+ months prior to phase 1 to prepare Candidates for OCS
● Phase 1 - 2 Weeks of Annual Training focusing on leadership, teamwork, and basic military skills
● Phase 2 - 12 months of IDT weekends at Camp Lincoln focusing on core leadership classes, physical fitness, and military tactics
● Phase 3 - 2 weeks of Annual Training focusing on squad/platoon level tactics and patrolling. Commission takes place on successful completion
Accelerated, 57 day course:
● Offered twice a year, summer and winter course
● Highly competitive selection
● 240+ APFT score, 75 minimum in each event with 3 mile timed run
● Selection based on compilation of leadership evaluations from phase 0; limited seats
● Phase 0 - same as Traditional
● Phase 1, 2, and 3 - 57 intense consecutive days encompassing all training events of all three traditional phases
