ROTC Logo  Reserve Officers Training Corps

ROTC allows you to earn your commission as a second lieutenant while earning your degree as a student. ROTC consists of both academic classes and field training, and can potentially be a source of tuition assistance and living stipend to finance your degree.
OCS Logo  Officer Candidate School

OCS is an intense program of training for qualified enlisted personnel to earn a commission. It consists of a 16 month traditional course or 57 day accelerated course.
1LT Rank  Direct Commission

Direct commission is a rare path that allows a highly qualified NCO to be directly appointed as an officer. It is based on recommendation and the specific needs of the ARNG in certain MOS's.
  Warrant Officer

Warrant officers are commissioned officers that are selected to fulfill highly specialized areas of technical expertise in the ARNG. Applicants must meet qualifications and complete the 5 week Warrant Officer Candidate School at Ft. Rucker, AL.
