Traditional Course Length: 16 months
Accelerated Course Length: 8 weeks (offered twice yearly)
Course Description:
Presents instruction to selected personnel in basic military subjects (Tactics, Staff Subjects, Land Navigation, Leadership, Artillery, NBC Operations, Field Training Exercises, Patrolling, Personnel, Intelligence, Operations, Logistics, Training Management, Effective Writing, Legal, Physical Training, Military History, Special Presentations, Drill and Ceremony) and qualifies them for commissioning as a Second Lieutenant in the Army and prepares them for subsequent Basic Officer Leaders Course.
Basic Course Requirements: 
●  Minimum GT score of 110  
●  Pass Chapter 2 Commissioning Physical in accordance with AR 40-501. Must meet all medical fitness standards
●  Must obtain SECRET security clearance utilizing the PSIP system
●  Must be between 18-34 years old. Must complete FOCS prior to 37th birthday and commission prior to 42nd birthday
●  Must be U.S. or Nationalized citizen
●  Pass Army physical fitness test and meet height/weigh requirements in accordance with AR 600-9
●  90 semester hours required to attend Phase 1
●  DD214 or DD220 indicating successful completion of Initial Active Duty Training (IADT)
