Illinois Army National Guard Soldier Support Center



The Soldier Support Center was established by the MILPO to provide one point service to accommodate the personnel needs of service members, military Family members, retirees, and full-time Army National Guard unit support.

The Soldier Support Center handles all phone calls, electronic mail (email), and walk-ins for the offices within the Military Personnel Office (MILPO).

Personnel services offered include:
  • ARNG retirement counseling


  • ARNG Education testing and education counseling


  • Tuition assistance


  • State Benefits Advising


  • ARNG records review


  • ID card/DEERs enrollment


  • Family Assistance Center representation

The Soldier Support Center also has two self-service computer work stations that can be used to check AKO email and to reference military and educational websites.

Along with the other services mentioned there is also a Chaplin, Drug Alcohol and Substance Abuse counselors, Survivor Benefits representative, transition assistance advisor, military relief fund coordinator, and a DA photo lab within the Soldier Support Center.

The hours of operation are 0800-1600 Monday-Friday and JFHQ drill weekend from 0800-1600 on Saturday and 0700-1500 on Sunday.
