Training Assistance Program (STRAP)
The STRAP provides financial assistance to
participants engaged in specialized medical training (residency programs
listed below) in return for part-time service in the Army National Guard.
The current STRAP pay is $973.00 per month.
Participants incur a service obligation of 2 years for each year or
portion of a year in which they receive funds. This may extend a soldier's
military obligation. Obligation commences upon completion of residency
The Specialized Training Assistance Program cannot be utilized in
conjunction with any other incentive.
