Bloomington, Ill. - Ethan Coates, 6, affixes an ornament honoring a fallen service member on the tree with help from his father, Matt Coates, during the American Gold Star Families’ Fallen Heroes Tree of Honor Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday, Nov. 17, at Central Illinois Regional Airport in Bloomington, Ill. Matt Coates serves on the board of America's Gold Star Families. Brig. Gen. Lenny Williams, the Assistant Adjutant General – Army of the Illinois National Guard and the Commander of the Illinois Army National Guard, served as a speaker at the event.
