WALTONVILLE, Ill. - The family of Spc. Benjamin Kash, including son Andrew, gathers around his U.S. Army basic training photo during a remembrance event at Waltonville, Illinois, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9153 March 14. Kash, age 19, died June 5, 1999 when the Illinois Army National Guard’s 3rd Battalion, 123rd Field Artillery Regiment was conducting annual training at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
