DeKalb, Ill. - Staff Sgt. Anthony May poses for a photo with 2nd Lt. Knayjah Miller during Northern Illinois University’s Army ROTC Commissioning Ceremony, May 15, in the Carl Sandburg Auditorium on the university’s campus in Dekalb, Ill. Miller branched Medical Services in the active Army. She is pursuing a degree in Public Health with a minor in Military Science from NIU and is on the Dean’s List. She is the College of Health and Human Sciences Student Advisory Committee Co-Chair at NIU as well, demonstrating leadership in and out of uniform. The ROTC program commissioned 10 new Army second lieutenants, five of whom are joining the Illinois Army National Guard.
