SPRINGFIELD, Illinois - Maj. Gen. Rodney Boyd, Assistant Adjutant General – Army, and Commander of the Illinois Army National Guard, thanks the families of the Soldiers in the 1863rd Finance Management Support Detachment during a mobilization ceremony at the Northwest Armory in Chicago Jan. 5. Approximately 25 Soldiers in the 1863rd are deploying to the U.S. European Command area of responsibility in support of Operation European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce.
