Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR)

Sexual assault is a crime and contrary to our values. It erodes the basic foundations of trust vital to the success of our mission. The Illinois National Guard (ILNG) will continue the development of an organizational culture and climate where those who bring forward allegations of sexual assault are taken seriously and treated with dignity and respect. The ILNG will use sensitivity and discretion to ensure reporters are not re-victimized. Reprisal against reporters will not be tolerated. ILNG will do everything possible to prevent sexual assault, effectively implement the National Guard Bureau’s (NGB) SAPR Program, and hold offenders accountable to the fullest extent authorized.
