WALTONVILLE, Ill. - Spc. Benjamin Kash’s U.S. Army basic training photo was displayed at the Waltonville, Illinois, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9153 March 14 for the Spc. Benjamin Kash Remembrance gathering. Kash enlisted in the Illinois Army National Guard in 1996 and was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 123rd Field Artillery Regiment. He died June 5, 1999 during the unit’s annual training at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
