"I wanna go SF"

For the extraordinary individual who wants more than just a job, but a unique career, a way of life that will challenge the deepest resources of your intelligence, and responsibility. It demands a superior physical and intellectual ability, adventurous spirit, toughness of mind, high degree of personal integrity, courage, and love of country. You will need to deal with fast-moving, ambiguous, and unstructured situations that will test your resourcefulness to the utmost. We are looking for responsible soldiers that show initiative, have sound judgment, and the ability to work independently as well as a part of a team. The US Army Special Forces is the most versatile and independent force out of all of the military’s Special Operations Forces. US Army Special Forces soldiers are deployed worldwide conducting real world missions such as Unconventional Warfare, Foreign Internal Defense, Direct Action and Humanitarian Assistance. A/2/20th SFGA travels extensively OCONUS on missions received from the Special Operations Command. If you feel that this is for you, contact us for further information.
A 2/20 SFG (A) deployed to combat three times in support of OEF-Afghanistan as well as other contingency operations to Bosnia under Operation Joint Endeavor and Haiti for Operation Uphold Democracy. Other various successful missions to countries in support of regional commands include; Bulgaria, Poland, Honduras, Bolivia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Belize, Jamaica and Venezuela.

“Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a Warrior, and he will bring the others back.”           -Heraclitus

The Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha (A-Team) is at the heart of Special Forces. It is the ODA that develops, plans, prepares and executes its missions with minimal supervision. It is the U.S. Military’s premier force multiplier. An ODA consists of 12 Special Forces Soldiers; two officers, and ten sergeants. All team members are SF qualified and cross-trained in different skills. They are also multilingual. The A-Team is almost unlimited in it's capabilities to operate in hostile or denied areas. An ODA can infiltrate and exfiltrate their area of operations by air, land, or sea and operate for an indefinite period of time in remote locations with little or no outside support. They are truly independent, self-sustaining "detachments". ODA routinely train, advise and assist other U.S. and allied forces and other agencies while standing by to perform other special operations as directed by higher authorities. All detachment members are capable of advising, assisting, and directing foreign counterparts in their function up to battalion level.
