Illinois Army National Guard Brig. Gen. Michael Glisson, of Festus, Missouri, retired Feb. 29 after 32 years of military service, and was honored for his many years of service during a ceremony March 7.

Col. Rodney Boyd, of Naperville, Illinois, has been selected as the next general officer in the Illinois Army National Guard. Boyd was appointed as the Assistant Chief of Staff, Joint Logistics (Wartime) for U.S. Forces Korea effective immediately and will be promoted to brigadier general.
