MARSEILLES, IL, US - Spc. William Ailey, of Normal, Illinois, a Soldier with Troop A, 2nd Squadron, 106th Cavalry Regiment based in Pontiac, Illinois, attempts to clear a jumping obstacle on the confidence course at Marseilles Training Center in Marseilles, Illinois, April 6 during the 2018 Illinois Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition. Ailey took top honors as the Illinois Army National Guard Soldier of the Year and will move to the regional competition in May at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.
