SPRINGFIELD, Illinois - Illinois National Guard Senior Enlisted Leader Command Sgt. Maj. Dena Ballowe visited troops serving on flood duty on June 26, 2019 in East Cape Girardeau, Illinois. The leadership team asked Soldiers how they were doing and if they needed anything else to complete the mission. Brig. Gen. Rich Neely, the Adjutant General of Illinois and Commander of the Illinois National Guard, and Ballowe also took some time to place some sandbags with the troops as well during their visit. Ballowe retired Oct. 31 after 32 years of service in the Illinois Army National Guard.
