CHICAGO - The Chicago Fire Department at O’Hare International Airport presents a water salute on the aircraft carrying the remains of Illinois Army National Guard Pfc. Harry Jerele as it arrives at O’Hare International Airport Oct. 1. Jerele was a World War II Prisoner of War who died in captivity in 1943. DPAA announced in December his remains had been identified. Jerele will be laid to rest at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood Oct. 4 with full military honors.
