Springfield, Ill. - Illinois Army National Guard Soldiers from the Joint Force Medical Detachment witness the Change of Command Ceremony. Lt. Col. Melinda Weller of Springfield assumed command of the Joint Force Medical Detachment from Col. Jayson Coble of Lincoln during an April 4 Change of Command Ceremony on Camp Lincoln in Springfield. Coble is now the Illinois Army National Guard's State Surgeon. With the unit's assistance, the Illinois Army National Guard has maintained among the top medical readiness rates in the nation. In his civilian life, Coble is an emergency medicine physician's assistant within the Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS). Weller is a registered nurse for the State of Illinois
